Skylines are illegal b/c they dont meet Department of Transportation (DOT) Standards, that includes emissions, crash test ratings, safety features ect. There were a few companies that tried to bring it up to DOT standards but that didnt work out.
the only reason is it iligal is because u have to change the windows on it it dosent meet the qualifications for the us because china japan make there glass from diff material
it is but u can do like 1 or 2 slight modifications and get it registered is, another thing is they dont have us vin numbers so that might be a problem but i dont know
i heard they were legal but law changed so its illegal now … but the ones that were imported and registered before the change is legal .. that’s what i heard
mines made the new r35 gtr with twin supercharger and twin turbo
was the little pipe for an external waste gate?

im not from the us, but i know in canada, skylines are legal

From what ive heard about, skylines dont pass US emissions so they are illegal. But can be registered as a show car. Can somone tell me if this true?

not skylines, just the r34.
couldnt they have done the lotus thing, and use an already us ok motor? thats what lotus did with the exige i think.
because of the us importation laws

it keep getting stolen cause its fast, the people competition made it illegal
